Sal I., Veterinary Technician
Sal is a graduate of Hahnemann University with an Associate in Science, and a Bachelors Degree in Medical Technology. He has been with Media Veterinary Hospital for 18 years and assists our doctors in surgical procedures, all aspects of anesthesia, radiology, laboratory analysis, nursing care and pharmaceutical inventory management.
Lauren L., Veterinary Technician, Assistant Hospital Manager
Lauren started with Media Veterinary Hospital in 2008 and in that time has worked in every support staff department. She is currently Assistant Hospital Manager and a Veterinary Technician; offering assistance in both medical care and administrative duties. Lauren shares her home with her husband Greg, their two dogs Lucy & Polly and three cats Boogie, Kiki & Big Mama Lou. In her free time she enjoys spending time in her garden, reading, hiking and cooking
Brandy M., Certified Veterinary Technician
Brandy is a 2003 graduate from Kutztown University with a BA in Political Science. She graduated from Harcum College with a Veterinary Technology diploma in 2013 and became board certified in November of 2013. Brandy has 6 cats and 1 dog (Sandy, Mama, Hypoxia, George, Squash, Sebastian and Ginger). She loves going to Eagles and Flyers games, and her biggest wish came true, when the Eagles won the Super bowl!
Jonathan M., Veterinary Technician
Jonathan has been a veterinary technician for 11 years. He and his beautiful wife Emily, have a great 2 year old son Jeremy, and a little girl on the way. Their family also includes 3 cats, Cayenne, Jack, and Maddie. Jonathan enjoys time with his family, football and cooking. He also enjoys making a difference in animals lives.
Diane K., Veterinary Technician
Diane holds an Associate Degree in Animal Science/Veterinary Technology and is a graduate of Southern Seminary College in Buena Vista, VA. She is a part-time technician assisting our doctors with appointments and client education in addition to caring for our patients. Diane shares her home with her husband, Greg, and their daughter and son. She devotes much time and effort to special needs advocacies and is also a Certified Massage Therapist. Her pets include a dog, 2 cats, a guinea pig and a Koi fish.
Iris O., Certified Veterinary Technician
Iris is a graduate of Harcum College and holds an Associate Degree in Veterinary Technology. She is a part-time veterinary technician and assists our doctors with appointments, treatment procedures, hospitalized patient care, and client education regarding new puppy and kitten care. Iris lives with her husband and 3 young sons, all of whom love animals. Her only female support comes from “Zoe”, her 4-year old Boston Terrier whom she adopted from Media Veterinary Hospital.
Alexis M., Veterinary Technician
Alexis has been a veterinary technician for over 2 ½ years. She graduated with a biology degree in 2012 with a minor in Entrepreneurship. Alexis is currently in school again to be certified as a veterinary technician. She has one cat, Gerry, who has no teeth. Alexis loves working with all types of animals, and has worked with reptiles, birds, cats, dogs, and small mammals.
Megan A., Veterinary Technician
Megan is one of our full-time veterinary technicians. She holds a Bachelor of Science in Nursing degree from Drexel University and a Master in Health Administration degree. The majority of her nursing career was spent as an Air Force RN in California and Alaska, working in the pre and post-op areas, aerospace medicine, and practice management. She has now shifted her focus towards the care of small animals. Megan has always loved learning and hopes to eventually pursue a PhD in a biomedical science field. She spends a lot of her free time traveling out to the Rockies and the west coast. While her household is only comprised of cats right now since losing her Husky in 2016, she hopes to adopt a dog in the near future.
Marquerite A., Certified Animal Health Technician
Veterinary medicine is my ministry, I work for God’s unspoken. I have been in this profession for 38 years and accredited C.A.H.T. in 1985. I practiced exotics and domestic animals along with owning my own horse, lamb, ferret, and goat. They say if you love what you do it is not work, I am blessed to do what I love! I am the happily owned by my two dogs, Mommuz and Arniz.
Sherrie S., Receptionist
Sherrie has been with Media Veterinary Hospital for 3 years and assists with our front desk reception. She loves to make a fuss over our adorable pets, especially all the little puppies that visit us. Her favorite past times are fostering puppies, gardening, reading and taking care of her 3 shelter dogs, “Ladybug”, “Becky” and “Leah” plus her 2 cats, “Puddin´” and “Kitty Foo Foo”.
Shawna G. , Receptionist
Shawna has been with a part-time receptionist with Media Veterinary Hospital since February 2017. She also is a student of Harcum College, studying to become a veterinary technician, and will graduate in June 2019. She lives with her cat Milo, rabbit Jonathan, and two beagles Dixie and Willow. Shawna is also an avid lover of wildlife.
Karen O., Receptionist
Karen has been with Media Veterinary Hospital for 2 ½ years. Karen is an expert in welcoming our clients and their furry friends. She is the mother of 5 and a cat mom of 6 rescues. Karen calls herself a “lifer” at MVH, and we wouldn’t have it any other way!!
June T., Kennel Manager
June has been with Media Veterinary Hospital for nine years and is a graduate of Collingdale High School. Her duties include caring for the animals in our boarding kennel. She keeps our boarders clean, safe and as happy as possible. In addition, June handles our kennel scheduling, food and supply inventory, and trains our kennel assistants. Her son, Jesse, lives with her and they share their home with their cute cat named “Rascal Ann” who is 9-years old. When not at work, June enjoys exercising, working out and walking on a regular basis. Working on her house is a never ending process which takes up most of her free time painting, making repairs and gardening.
Melanie T., Kennel Attendant
Melanie has been a kennel attendant at Media Veterinary Hospital since 2016. She adores all of her “senior” babies that frequently stay at our facility. Mel enjoys coloring, and rescuing countless homeless kitties off the streets and finding them fur-ever homes. Kodo is Mel’s little baby weighing in at 122lbs, he was adopted when no one else wanted him due to his age and arthiritis.
Cheryl C., Hospital Manager
Cheryl is a 1989 graduate from Garnet Valley High School and a 1990 graduate of Chubb Institute with a diploma in Computer Operations. Cheryl’s passion for animals got her started at Media Veterinary Hospital 26 years ago. Starting out as a kennel attendant and working her way up over the years to become Media’s Hospital Manager. Cheryl resides with her husband, her son, 4 cats, 1 dog, and 1 parakeet. She most certainly enjoys the chaos each one of her furry, feathery critters bring to their lives. Her hobbies include, boxing, weight lifting, and spending as much time possible with family.
Sprite, Our Hospital Cat
We sadly said goodbye to our long time hospital mascot Sprite. She was a saucy girl to the very end of her 19 years. She always made it known that she was in charge and we worked for her each time she would demand her food bowl filled, her spring water room temperature and her bed fluffed just right!
