Fur-Ever Friends Rescue:
With a little room in our hospital and a lot of room in our hearts (and even homes), we joyfully launched our own cat rescue in 2015. We systematically take in homeless cats and orphaned kittens that find their way to us through our clients and staff. When needed we bottle feed kittens and provide shelter and socialization for homeless or orphaned local cats Ultimately we take our time to find the right forever home for each feline. Our adoption fee includes: vaccinations prior to adoption, dewormings, fecal parasite testing, FELV/FIV testing, and spay/neuter.
Fundraisers & Donations:
As a business in Media for over 60 years we believe firmly in giving back and supporting locally. Every year MVH gladly makes charitable contributions to organizations in our community. We also participate in Bark for Life raising money for the American Cancer Society.
Thanking Those Who Serve:
At Media Vet we like to thank those who serve by offering a military discount. We are also a participating hospital with Pets for Patriots, an organization that helps bring loyalty and companionship to veterans through pet adoption and reduced cost veterinary care.
Mentoring students:
We have proudly mentored dozens of students. We enjoy hosting veterinary students during externships at our practice. We have a relationship with the Pre-Vet program at Villanova University allowing college students to shadow during appointments and observe surgeries as they embark on their own journey through this field. We have also welcomed high school students as they explore what it is veterinarians do everyday. We enjoy sharing our passion with the next generation of enthusiastic vets and vet techs!
Reuniting lost pets with their owners:
Many good Samaritans, whether clients or staff, come to our door with found pets. Through microchip scanning, Facebook networking, and communication with the local SPCAs when needed, we have successfully reunited numerous pets with their thankful owners. We love a happy ending!
Non-profit Rescue Groups:
We believe homeless animals also deserve high quality medical care. At MVH we work with nonprofit rescues to keep costs affordable to be sure that homeless pets have the same access to the quality medicine and surgery that we provide.
